Title: Cannot communicate with Tiny167
Post by: JohnRS on August 31, 2017, 11:53:32 AM
Hi,

I've got an Olimex AVR ISP MK2, with firmware and drivers from this page: https://www.olimex.com/Products/AVR/Programmers/AVR-ISP-MK2/open-source-hardware

I cannot communicate with an ATtiny167 at all. I can communicate and program an ATxMega167 with the same lead though.

I also have an Atmel AVR ISP mk2 lead (the one Atmel don't seem to make anymore) and that can program both devices.

Any ideas?

ATtiny167 is ISP, ATxMega167 is PDI

Regards
John

I think I worked it out. I was expecting the lead to support ISP and PDI like the Atmel lead, but I need to connect to the other socket as per page 21 of the manual.
