Title: PIC_WEB - TTL level serial
Post by: eagleeye on December 16, 2012, 08:59:47 AM
I would like to request that in  future revisions of Pic-web, pic-maxi web etc..
can we have a small 3 pin header to connect to the USART output before it goes
to the MAX232? This will enable us to have TTL level Serial output to communicate
with other devices.

Am I correct to say that for now,if I wanted to communicate with an Xbee adaptor
I would have to solder 3 wires from the MAX232 output to tap the TTL signal?

Allan

Hey there,

Thank you for the continued feedback on PIC-WEB.

It is true there are no 3-pin headers. However, you can use the UEXT connector pins.

I've also forwarded your suggestion to the developer team and they will consider whether to implement it in the next revisions.

Best regards,
Lub/OLIMEX

Thanks, I did not notice that UEXT also has TXD1 and RXD1
this will be very helpful.
