definitions (for those who don't know this):
EKG = electro-cardiograph (displays heart pulses); EMG = electro-miograph (displays muscles tension/voltages behavior)
My teammates and i are attempting to classify hand movements using the olimex board. We connected the board to arduino uno and can now read the data live on a graph. However, the data makes no sense and is not correlated to any flexing of biceps.
on the user manual of the board is an example of EKG, but nothing related to EMG. Please try to answer to the following questions:
1- can the bands (not the electrodes but the bracelets) be used to get voltage readings from the muscles?
2- how to configure the olimex to EMG mode instead of EKG?

Hi LubOlimex.
Thanks for the links: They look very interesting. What I don't understand yet is how I can work with different programs with the shield. There is the arduino code for the electricGuru program, which is fine to some extent.
How can I get the measurements from the EKG in another program, or just raw from the Shield? In all these selfmade aproaches they work with different apps and programs and I don't know how to get there. Thanks for the help!
