Title: MSP-430-JTAG-ISO-MK2 external power source minimum voltage
Post by: Nurol on December 14, 2012, 03:49:27 PM
hi,

https://www.olimex.com/Products/MSP430/JTAG/MSP430-JTAG-ISO-MK2/resources/MSP430-JTAG-ISO-MK2.pdf read document.

I know powering the device from external source of power (12V) or via the USB(5V).

But,What is the minimum voltage applied to the external product?

Waiting for your help.

Nurol.

Hey Nurol,

When using only USB power - 40mA.

When using 12V external supply - 300mA.

Best regards,

Hey again,

It is 1.8V. There is also algorithm detecting the voltage applied on the controller - if it is below 0.7V (I believe) it will attempt to power it to programmable levels.

Hi again,

Only 12VDC if choosing to use debugger powering - no more no less.
