Title: Is it possible to replace the 64MB memory with an 128MB one?
Post by: tct on February 26, 2016, 09:33:42 AM
Hello,

I am interested in the iMX233 Olinuxino boards, but I would like to have more memory, at least 128MB instead of the preintalled 64MB. Is it possible? Is there any DDR1 RAM with 128MB chips? Has anyone looked into this or tried this?

Thanks!

Doesn't the chip data sheet (which obviously you'll have read!) say max 64MB for the chip used?

Thanks for your answer. I must have overlooked this information in the iMX233 chip data sheet.

As I recall there's a chip variant that handles more but you'd need to layout your own board and have it made.

I don't have the capacity to design boards and have the boards printed, but that's good to know. Thank you.

Hi tct,

maybe one of the many MX28 boards is an option.
