Title: AVR ISP MK2 firmware
Post by: PeteBux on December 17, 2015, 11:43:34 AM
Hi,

According to your information on this website, I tried to upgrade the firmware of my AVR ISP MK2 with the avrdude firmware version: Installed AtmelFlip, upgraded with the downloaded file \Firmware_Drivers\FIRMWARE-FOR-AVRDUDE-LIBUSB\libUSB-AVRISP-MKII.hex and restarted the device, the drivers got reinstalled by Windows. Now it always lights up the RED led :-[. It seems I cannot flash it back to the original firmware.

How can I get this back OK ?

Hey PeteBux,

Thank you for the report.

Try to update the firmware now. There is a hex from the 7th of January 2016. The LEDs should behave properly now.

Best regards,
Lub/OLIMEX

HI

I also want to reload the firmware for the libusb-win32 drivers and so far have failed to find it on the Olimex website.

Can you give me a link for it?

Refer to page 9 of the user's manual. There is a picture that shows how the programmer looks in Windows 10's device manager. Do you see how it is listed? As libusb-win32. The unit comes with libusb-win32 firmware. So what exactly are you looking for?
