Hi,
I have a few unused Nokia batteries, and I was wondering if I can use them to power a FOSDEM-85 Arduino, or even something bigger.
The batteries are BP-3L, 3.7V, 1300mAh, 4.8Wh. They have 3 connectors, (+) (-) (O).
Does anyone knows if it's OK to ignore the third connector?
Is this connector just a simple temperature sensor or a communication protocol?
Any advice will be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Hristo
Hey,
Why not? Use them.
The third pin (o) is the temperature sensor and you can ignore it. It is there as a protection mechanism - so you can monitor the temperature of the battery when you charge the battery (if it gets too hot stop charging).
