Title: Wanted a MPIDE Uart HEX file for PIC32 Micro
Post by: captain_spark on November 03, 2015, 01:14:07 AM
Hi All,

I finally have managed to install the MPIDE bootloader onto the Olimex pinguino micro. For this is used a picKit and mplab. It is now working using the USB based bootloader, however i would really like to have the Serial boot loader so i can update via a wireless serial connection.

I downloaded the chipKIT-bootloaders file and opened in MPlab.. But ehhh now what? Could someone help me how to configure this project so it will output a HEX file that is suited for the Pinguino Micro, have UART as upload and preferable 57600 as upload speed.
Or if someone has a pro compile licence that wants to make this hex file for me i would be really happy :)

Hope someone can help me out
Thanks.

Edit:
I also asked this question at the chipKit forum. It is being picked up there. So for anyone interested see you there.

Hey captain_spark,

The bootloader file can be found in the archive that contains the the MPIDE library. For PIC32-PINGUINO-MICRO the archive is this one: https://www.olimex.com/Products/Duino/PIC32/PIC32-PINGUINO-MICRO/resources/MPIDE_library_PIC32-Pinguino-Micro.zip (https://www.olimex.com/Products/Duino/PIC32/PIC32-PINGUINO-MICRO/resources/MPIDE_library_PIC32-Pinguino-Micro.zip)

The bootloader files is located inside and has the "MX4-Bootloader_Olimex_PIC32_Pinguino.hex" name.

How to set the rest of the enivronment is shown in this tutorial video that we released some time ago: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=98r7a437rgg (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=98r7a437rgg)

Best regards,
