Title: OLinuXino reboots when WiFi dongle is connected to the USB
Post by: idragoev on November 26, 2012, 06:36:15 PM
Hi,
we have OLinuXino Micro that boots and works just fine. But When we insert the WiFi (from Olimex) the board gets restarted. I'm using 5V adapter from Olimex.

Thanks.

Ok,
it seems the 5V 1.2A is not enough - with one 5V 2A it works just fine - no restarts.

Ivan.

My board rebooted when connecting a number of different devices, the fix was to remove R17.

Apparently that resistor causes many issues, so if you have it on your board you probably want to desolder it as well.

Cheers

Hi dblank,
R17 is removed from my board so that's not the problem. I'm sure that in my case the power is the problem because I have 2 power supplies: 5V/1.2A and 5V/2A. When I'm with the first one the board gets restarted. With the powerful one it works fine. May be you should try with another power supply?
