Hi,
I am using the latest Debian release and I can't seem to get HDMI audio to work. There is no speaker icon in the system tray. I have tried adding hdmi.audio=EDID:0 to /boot/uEnv.txt.
aplay -l
**** List of PLAYBACK Hardware Devices ****
card 0: sunxicodec [sunxi-CODEC], device 0: M1 PCM [sunxi PCM]
Subdevices: 0/1
Subdevice #0: subdevice #0
card 1: sunxisndhdmi [sunxi-sndhdmi], device 0: SUNXI-HDMIAUDIO sndhdmi-0 []
Subdevices: 1/1
Subdevice #0: subdevice #0
aplay -L
null
Discard all samples (playback) or generate zero samples (capture)
sysdefault:CARD=sunxicodec
sunxi-CODEC, sunxi PCM
Default Audio Device
sysdefault:CARD=sunxisndhdmi
sunxi-sndhdmi,
Default Audio Device
If I use alsamixer and try and select the correct sound output I get the message:
"This sound device does not have any controls."
Could somebody tell me how to get this to work?
Thanks
After messing around with various files the HDMI sound has decided to start working. I have no idea what made it start working.
Excuse me for bringing back this old post... but I,m having same troubles about hdmi audio output. so I was wondering if you remember how to do it.
Thanks a lot!
