Title: A20 HDMI dropouts
Post by: aauer1 on April 25, 2014, 04:48:01 PM
Hello,

I have a board with an Allwinner A20 and I'm using the latest ultimate Debian image for the Olinuxino A20 Micro board. The board is attached via HDMI to some Full HD monitor. When I boot the board, everything looks fine. I also get the graphical user interface. I tried to switch to some FullHD resolution (1080pxx) and it is basically working.
But when I play some video files with mplayer, the screen turns black and then back on. This is happening every few seconds until I stop the video. It happens only with the FullHD resolution.
Has anybody experienced the same issue? Is this a kind of timing problem or maybe a hardware problem? Does it depend on the hardware acceleration when playing videos??

I hope someone can help.

Thanks,
Andreas

I tested the board also with my TV. But I'm not able to get anything displayed on it whatever resolution I use. Does anybody know anything about that?

Thanks,
Andreas
