Title: RALINK RT3050F - EUR 10-15 LINUX COMPUTER?
Post by: olimex on November 07, 2012, 09:35:24 PM
I'm checking the datasheet right now and I love the concept of SoC with embedded WIFI http://www.tracermcc.ru/foto/bender/RT3050_5x_V2.0_081408_0902.pdf

320Mhz MIPS with OpenWRT support + 802.11n inside!
Flash, SDRAM, USB-OTG, I2C, I2S, SPI, PCM, GPIO

nice platform for Wireless-Internet-Of-Thing, sensors, etc.

... and yes, I know for the cheap TP-LINK routers on ebay for $20-30

...and yes I've seen Carambola http://www.8devices.com/product/3/carambola and their announcement at Dangerous Prototypes blog and the promise to release their schematic (not speaking for CAD files at all) which they didn't kept http://dangerousprototypes.com/2011/10/29/8devices-wi-fi-4-things/

looks like nice challenge to make open hardware alternative

I like this idea. You mention Open WRT. Are you aware of LibreWRT?
