Title: Only ~340M RAM available in Lime on Debian Linux?
Post by: okulev on February 14, 2014, 03:59:25 PM
I understand that part of RAM need to be allocated for video but dropping from advertised 512M to ~340M is too much. If I don't use HDMI or LCD and connect only through Ethernet, how can I increase available memory?

$ free
             total       used       free     shared    buffers     cached
Mem:        346232     251956      94276          0      11112     128984
-/+ buffers/cache:     111860     234372
Swap:            0          0          0

$ dmesg | grep Memory:
[    0.000000] Memory: 448MB = 448MB total
[    0.000000] Memory: 346060k/346060k available, 112692k reserved, 0K highmem
