Is there any player using hardware decoding of H.264 for A10 Lime or A20 boards in Debian ?
Todor
Not having looked at A10 software specifically, maybe the usual suspects:
VLC, Mplayer2, smplayer?
HTH
None of which working properly.
Linux on AW chips is WIP. Much of the hardware is binary without doc. Look at linux-sunxi site & ML if you wish to keep up with this.
Else, wait till it gets done.

So Olimex advertise HD hardware encoding/decoding of which none is usable.....
Hardware works I think and probably OK on Android. If you want something else I advise to trawl net / join ML etc.
Do Olimex say it is available now on Debian? I didn't see where they did...
John
The hardware is probably ok :). But the software support for hardware decoding is not good for both android and debian. I cannot find good working HD decoding player. VLC is not working....
So no Android tablet with the same CPU has hardware support like you want? I find that hard to believe.
John
Thank you for the reply! You were really helpful :)
I don't mean to be unhelpful but:
1. Olimex are very clearly mainly a hardware company
2. if you want a Debian feature this is an odd place to ask
3. if you want it on Android there are tens of millions of tablets you could compare and get it from, if anywhere
4. or you could get any of the AW SDKs and go from there
