Title: MSP430-CCRF 1 Cell Lipo power supply
Post by: lordzahl on August 13, 2013, 11:04:23 AM
Hi,

I want to use the MSP430-CCRF powered by a 1 cell Lipo battery (probably with a usb charger in between). I checked the datasheet of the MCP1702T LDO and it supports this use. So i should be fine? The MSP430-CCRF datasheets only give a allowed input voltage of 4-12VDC. This would be not enough on the low end and is also below the MCP1702T specification. Why?

I am just a little bit confused, because you mention lipo battery powered use of the MSP430-CCRFLCD, which also uses a slightly other LDO (MCP1700).

Thanks a lot!
Manuel

Hello Manuel,

It's ok to use 3.7V LiPo battery with MSP430-CCRF.

Best regards,
