Title: Missing touchscreen
Post by: shamada on July 19, 2013, 12:50:32 AM
Hi!

I am wondering what has to be done to get the touchscreen working.

Is it merely a problem of configuring the driver correctly?
Or do you have to write some driver code for it to work?

If you could give me some pointers, I'd appreciate it.
Or to put it differently: Can I help? Or do you have an ETA for the feature?

Sorry for asking so stupidly, but I haven't found time yet to look into the problem yet.

touchscreen on Linux is working fine
touchscreen on Android is broken, we investigate with Allwinner but they never try resistive touchscreens with A20 but only capacitive, this is why they have no working solution for resistive touchscreen
Dimitar is trying to enable the touchscreen under Android but no luck so far, as soon the touchscreen is enabled and Android UI system crash

Hi your are right the touch screen is working well on linux

But the module is not provided in the preliminary image provided on the wiki. It would be nice to have the config file used to compile this kernel. I have try with the A20-SDK provided but i have an issue when  i enable the console frame buffer. My kernel  hang and reboot each time.

have a nice day :-)

Oh, then I'll have to check what's going wrong on linux on my a20.

Just to be sure I didn't mess up: Which way around is the touchscreen supposed to be attached to the display?  :-[
