Title: EEG SMT on Mac

Although I also have a PC, I would like to know if there are instructions for using the EEG-SMT on a Mac? Any help?

Hey eegdoc,

Download these drivers: http://www.ftdichip.com/drivers/VCP/MacOSX/FTDIUSBSerialDriver_v2_2_18.dmg (http://www.ftdichip.com/drivers/VCP/MacOSX/FTDIUSBSerialDriver_v2_2_18.dmg). Make sure you have the administrator rights to install the drivers.

The bigger problem would be finding a compatible with MAC and OpenEEG software package. The official list is: http://openeeg.sourceforge.net/doc/sw/ (http://openeeg.sourceforge.net/doc/sw/)

Here is a blog post about using the EEG-SMT under OSX 10.8: http://bakerdh.wordpress.com/2013/01/31/a-first-look-at-the-olimex-eeg-smt/ (http://bakerdh.wordpress.com/2013/01/31/a-first-look-at-the-olimex-eeg-smt/)

Of course another option is to use some sort of virtual machine that emulates Windows and use the suggested programs.

Best regards,
