Title: Joystick or Paddles
Post by: stingrayce1982@gmail.com on August 02, 2025, 11:38:07 PM
Now that I can run my favorite vintage games, my thoughts immediately turn to how to get an analog joystick or paddles connected. I see that there is USB gamepad support but I don't know how that would be used with legacy Apple II software.

Olimex offers an adapter to connect a Nintendo Nunchuck controller via the UEXT connector.  Does NEO6502 have built in software to make it recognized at the PDL() device in BASIC?

Are there other options I've overlooked?

I tried testing the UEXT to Nunchuck adapter I use with my DuinoMite-Mini and I couldn't read it from a quick Applesoft program.

Other suggestions?

I might be mistaken, but I think that only works with the Morpheus firmware.

However, one of the guys at the discord might know more:
