I've an A13 Micro + LCD 7".
I've the exact same problem described in this thread https://www.olimex.com/forum/index.php?topic=753.0.
When I use the script.bin found in the LCD folder of the Debian prebuilt image for the A13 Micro, if I boot without the LCD screen plugged it works fine, but if I boot with the LCD screen plugged, startup hangs and OS reboot indefinitely.
I think that this issue is not already resolved in the prebuilt image, so what's the official solution? It's necessary to rebuild the kernel and set SUN4I_GPIO_UGLY as a module and not as built-in, as suggested in the above thread?

However I've rebuilded the kernel to the 3.4 version and set SUN4I_GPIO_UGLY as module. Now everything works fine (thanks to Nico post).
