Title: MOD-RGB with 24v
Post by: mihaiadrian on October 02, 2023, 03:09:33 PM
Hi,

I would like to use https://www.olimex.com/Products/Modules/LED/MOD-RGB/open-source-hardware   (  MOD-RGB   )   with a 24v setup . I am not interested in output power since I would like to feed the MOD-RGB output in a more  capable power amplifier ( like: (https://i.dedeman.ro/media/catalog/product/cache/dedeman/image/9df78eab33525d08d6e5fb8d27136e95/1/0/1030144_amp100.jpg) )  but I mainly interested in possibility to set the led RGB color from my program and use a 24v rgb led.

Any idea if is possible ? Because in MOD-RGB documentation, it is written it can be powered from 12v maximum .... and I would like to avoid 12v rgb ( there are better options at 24v )

thanks and regards,
Mihai

Well, this amplifier says its input is 12V DC.

Only the output is 24V DC.

I guess it would work.
