Is it safe to upgrade my LIME2 to Debian 12?
I guess I should set olimed repos to sid if that were the case?
Also, I see that on the official debian image the non-free packages come enabled... is that needed? I think I've ran this board without non-free packages before.
No.
But it safe to run apt update and apt upgrade on an unmodified Olimage Linux image. It is even recommended to do from time to time. Recommended way of updating is:
sudo apt update
,when done:
sudo apt dist-upgrade
,when done:
u-boot-install
then reboot.
