Hi

I would like to know how can i connect and use MOD-RS485 with my A13 Olinuxino Wifi.
Is there any document to refer for a step by step procedure for doing this?

Hi Biniyas,

Yes you can connect MOD-RS485 to A13 Olinixino Wifi.

All you need is UEXT cable, connected to UEXT of the A13.
Then you need to enable read and write channels of MOD-RS485. To do that you should set low SS (UEXT pin 10) and set high SCK (UEXT pin 9).
When you do that u can no longer use UART1 header ( you must remove MOD-RS485).

That's all.

sorry... but... If I understand correctly, I have to take care manually of the RS485 data-direction... setting RE/DE low and high depending on if I'm sending or "listening" for data on the RS485 line...

is this right ?
