Title: Flashing chip with Lime 2
Post by: ElVirolo on November 20, 2017, 01:30:24 PM
Hello everyone!

I'd like to flash coreboot on a Lenovo Thinkpad x220 BIOS chip. This guide (https://karlcordes.com/coreboot-x220/) describes the steps needed to do it using a Raspberry Pi. A friendly person on #olimex@freenode.net told me, succinctly, how do to it with my Lime 2 board, but I'm a bit lost.

I'm thinking of buying this SOIC test clip (https://www.banggood.com/SOIC-Test-Clip-8-Pin-Black-Electronics-Programmer-Testing-Clip-Test-Clamp-p-1191342.html?cur_warehouse=CN) as well as A20-OLinuXino-LIME2-UEXT and  CABLE-40-40-10CM, which I would hook up to these 0.1" F2F jumper cables (http://0.1"%20f2f%20jumper%20cables).

1) Are the aforementioned pieces of hardware suitable?
2) Which GPIO pins exactly should I be using?

Thank you very much for your help,
