Title: Building mainline kernel
Post by: normad on August 11, 2016, 12:59:33 PM
I've built and booted with mainline u-boot as well as the mainline kernel and now the kernel loads and runs until init is called. At which point i get 'no init found'. This is clearly because i dont have any init. Should i just extract https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B-bAEPML8fwlb3l0Nm9FWFhSSW8/edit (https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B-bAEPML8fwlb3l0Nm9FWFhSSW8/edit) in my second partition?
Whats the proper way to get a minimal debian distribution from here?

Thanks!

Personally, I started out with the vanilla Debian netinstall image for Debian. They use an (almost) mainline kernel. I used the debian config to build mainline myself then.
