I am looking for an intelligent touchpanel that I could mount on a wall. It should be running Android, connected to LAN with an RJ45 LAN connector (WiFi is not really needed), powered by PoE, have a touchpanel, i.e. 7". I thought that the A13 board might be a solution... I do not want to develop a lot, just run an android based visualization software for KNX on it. Would that work?
I was thinking about
- A13-OLinuXino-WIFI (because it has a NAND with Android pre-installed.
- A13-LCD7-TS (should work with above A13 board after reflashing with another Android image)
- USB-ETHERNET-AX88772B (LAN)
- SY0612E (Power Adapter)
Is that all I need?
Actually, I was looking at MOD-POE-V2 first, but apparently, this is only a separate PoE injector and does not mount on the board itself.
Thanks for any pointer.
Dan
I just tried what you said a few minutes ago. I plugged the usb ethernet, LCD7-TS and power from 12V adapter. Then I turned on ethernet from android settings. After that tried the browser app. Browsed the olimex site, and it worked. Also the lipo battery worked with that configuration. But I don't know about PoE thing.
