Hi,
I just got A13-SOM-256M. I downloaded the 256MB Debian image from here:
https://olimex.wordpress.com/2014/06/23/a13-som-xxx-debian-build-with-kernel-3-4-90-and-many-new-features/ (https://olimex.wordpress.com/2014/06/23/a13-som-xxx-debian-build-with-kernel-3-4-90-and-many-new-features/)
Then I copied the image to a SDCard:
dd if=A13_SOM_Debian_....img of=/dev/sde
When I boot, I get:
U-Boot SPL 2014.04-10681-g78592f1 (Jun 06 2014 - 14:25:51)
Board: A13-OLinuXinoM
DRAM: 256 MiB
CPU: 1008000000Hz, AXI/AHB/APB: 3/2/2
SPL: Please implement spl_start_uboot() for your board
SPL: Direct Linux boot not active!
U-Boot 2014.04-10681-g78592f1 (Jun 06 2014 - 14:25:51) Allwinner Technology
CPU: Allwinner A13 (SUN5I)
Board: A13-OLinuXinoM
I2C: ready
DRAM: 256 MiB

The board tries to reboot and I get this message again and again.
What should I do?
Best Regards,
Timo
Tried it here for myself and it works like a charm, maybe you should...
* be sure that your power source is strong enough (>= 5W I suggest)
* try another uSD card (yours is a 4GB class 10 type?)
* try to dd it again (maybe from another computer and/or card writer)
* try another SOM module
Thanks. It was the power supply. The power supply over current LED blinked so short pulses, I didn't notice it first. More current and the board booted fine.
