Title: If booting from Debian Can the NAND flash be disabled and it's IO used as GPIO?
Post by: mikenycz on April 30, 2014, 05:32:20 PM
I am booting from a Debian image on the A13 board. I noticed that I can get to the storage on the NAND flash from Debian which is nice however I could use a few extra GPIOs for my application. I have used up the ones associated with ports that I am not using (i.e. TWI and SPI). I was wondering if anyone is running Debian and doing what I am proposing regarding the NAND flash? If you have done this and were successful please post here with successes/problems.

Thank you,
Mike Nycz

Hi mikenycz,

According to the website, http://linux-sunxi.org/A13/PIO (http://linux-sunxi.org/A13/PIO) the mux for GPIO is unknown.  :o

I saw that. Just what you want to see in hardware documentation.  ::)
