Title: A20 Capacitive Touchscreen
Post by: Psyce on December 11, 2013, 10:03:30 PM
Hi @ all,

did anyone test this http://mcpia.com/MT_S070_01A.html (http://mcpia.com/MT_S070_01A.html) touchscreen with the a20?

Does it work? Unfortunately Olimex doesn't provide capacitive touchscreens.

You will need a driver for this. Android does support a number of capacitive touch interfaces via I2C so it should be possible to do this but you will need to design and build your own interface and configure the driver to the timing of your LCD.

I am looking to try and make an interface for this Newhaven 5" display. I already have this working with .NETMF boards.

GHI Electronics also have a 7" capacitive touch display that could be used.

Downside is that it is not a single power supply type so you need quite a bit of support circuitry to use it.
