Title: A20-OLINUXINO-MICRO SATA Booting
Post by: Gaurav Pathak on December 10, 2013, 04:27:58 PM
Hello,
I recently purchased a A20-OLINUXINO-MICRO board without NAND, I just want to know is it possible to boot the board using SATA HDD?
If possible then please specify the steps!!

I think that I read somewhere (either in the doc, wiki or forum) that it was not possible to directly boot from the SATA.

But I suppose that you can easily put all your partitions (except the /boot) on the SATA, keeping only the /boot on the microSD (the cheapest you can find as size and speed is not important in this case).

HI,
I personally use the technique proposed by miloose. And It work very well.
If you have the flash version you can also put boot part on the flash.
