Post by: empedokles on September 28, 2013, 03:02:44 PM
Why don't you sell enclosures? Coulndn't you join up with Adafruit? (They sell a lot of cool enclosures for the Raspi.)

I think enclosures are more of a custom thing and depend entirely on what hardware everybody adds to the device.
With or without LCD?
And which LCD?
It's a good idea, but I think the general idea of this device is to allow it to do so many different things, I don't think there's a standard case that would accommodate enough people. Just the 3 LCD sizes asks for 3 different enclosure sizes, unless you make a one size fits all big enough for the 10 inch screen, but then who would buy the 4.3 or 7 inch LCD if the case supports up to 10?
See what I mean?

Yes, but a standard-case for desktop use would be a nice selling point, I think.

Even 3d printed ones like this would be ok:

Luckily the A20 board have the mounting holes aligned to an 10x10mm grid, so I coudl attach it to an Taymia plate like this:

But that doesnt work for the other boards, like Pingduino-otg and some other pic protoboard I have, sadly..
