Shields were meant to work with OLIMEXINO boards (e.g. Arduino and Arduino-like boards). It is possible to make them work on a breadboard of course since most shields use a standard communication protocol (I2C, SPI or UART) but we feel that this is are side projects that users can accomplish and design themselves.

The boards meant for extending the OLinuXino boards (and all boards with UEXT connector) are the ones with MOD- prefix and are usually listed here under different sub-categories: https://www.olimex.com/Products/Modules/ (https://www.olimex.com/Products/Modules/)

Best regards,
Lub/OLIMEX
