Title: AD-HOC on olinuxino A13 WIFI?
Post by: chsy0823 on March 18, 2013, 10:44:48 AM
Hi there,

I'm trying to build dual display with olinuxino a13 wifi.

I have to make android application for two below;

Sender - send the image displayed on it's screen.
Receiver - receive the image displayed on sender's screen.

and I have to implement TCP/IP socket to exchange data between A13 and other android-phone where which are connected in the same wifi network. In this case, should I need the ad-hoc?
But It seems that Olinuxino a13 wifi doesn't have ad-hoc mode so It cannot create It's network area. Then I need another WIFI module?

Most important is that I just used TCP/IP socket to simple data transmission between server and client, but I never used that with image or video data so I actually don't know I can deal with it.

Help me plz!!

It is a bit unclear what you want to do.

Now, your connection between the cell phone and A13 is through a WiFi router.
Do you want A13 to act as an access point without using the router?

Are you using Android or Linux on A13?

Yes, I want to use A13 as server without any router.

So I'm going to buy some wifi-direct module to communicate between two devices without router.

I use android on A13. Thanks

You can use A13 as the hotspot.

To get started:

I have not tried it myself. Better Google it.
