Title: Maple USB bootloader compatibility?
Post by: joemcclaine on October 03, 2012, 03:39:57 PM
This is a pretty obvious question, but as I can't find the answer in the documentation anywhere I'm going to ask it.
Does the Olimexino STM32 have a compatible USB bootloader so it can be programmed out of the box over USB by the Leaf Labs Maple IDE?
The user manual talks about compatible JTAG programmers, but I don't want to buy one unless I have to.

Thanks

Hi there,

Yes, OLIMEXINO-STM32 has the Maple bootloader and works out-of-the-box with the latest Leaf Labs Maple IDE. However, note that some of the built-in Maple IDE examples might need adjusting due to different hardware and pinout. However, we have provided sufficient amount of demos (from simple blink and button press to SD card demo) with step-by-step explanation. These can be found at device's web-page: https://www.olimex.com/Products/Duino/STM32/OLIMEXINO-STM32/ (https://www.olimex.com/Products/Duino/STM32/OLIMEXINO-STM32/).
