Title: Using High Power Output form ESP32-POE2
Post by: yakatz on August 03, 2026, 09:02:00 PM
I am looking at using an ESP32-POE2 to control a water valve that takes 12v or 24v. I have worked with 5v output switching, but how would you do the same thing with the higher voltage output?

Use VPP pin at the EXT1 header for 12/24V output from the board - by default when jumper 24V_E1 is open at the VPP pin there is 12V output. If you close 24V_E1 there would be 24V DC.

Notice that the maximums are:

Total output for external circuits – 25W max, max power distributed as follows:

- 0.75A at 24V or 1.5A at 12V (selectable by jumper);
- 1.5A at 5V;
- 1A at 3.3V.
