Title: A20 rev.J after boot on eMMC does not worK
Post by: Sasa1234 on May 08, 2019, 11:27:52 AM
Hi all,

I am new to A20 olinuxino rev J....So for the first time I used this board and I think it's amazing....

So I made this operations:

I used a SD card and I copied the imagine  A20_OLinuxino_Micro_debian_Jessie_34_103_2G_eMMC_release_18 on it with Win32disk tool, after formatting SD.

So the board, when I put the SD in its own slot, worked very well, and I decided to install the operative system using terminal.

In the terminal I put the instruction ./emmc.sh and it worked.
Finally I wrote "reboot"  and I turn off the board.
At power on, the board does not work. The red and yellow leds are on but the green led is off.

So I don't Know if there is a way to recuperate this board....Would you like to help me? Any suggestions are accepted....

Thanks in advice!!!!! See you soon

The image that you used has no proper support for the eMMC memory of your board. Please try either this mainline u-boot image: ftp://staging.olimex.com/Allwinner_Images/A20-OLinuXino/2.legacy_images_kernel_3.4.x/boards_with_eMMC/A20_OLinuxino_Micro_debian_Jessie_34_103_2G_eMMC_SPI_release_19.img.zip

Or this Armbian-based, mainline kernel image: ftp://staging.olimex.com/Allwinner_Images/A20-OLinuXino/1.latest_mainline_images/bionic/images/Armbian_5.72.1_Olinuxino-a20_Ubuntu_bionic_next_4.19.17_desktop.7z

Best regards,
