Hi all,

I have a Rev B HMZ144 and I'm using LiteBSD on it, so far I've had nothing but trouble with it crashing on startup and from what I can see it's related to the crystal oscillator. I've probed the osc pins with my DSO and the signal is ridiculously tiny on both sides of it. I would have at least expected the OSCO pin (after the internal buffer) to be a lot bigger and better quality. After looking at the silicon errata and feedback from other users of this board I'm after a fix from you guys (Olimex), as to be perfectly honest I don't think this board in it's current state is a saleable product.

What do you suggest I do, return it for a refund or replacement or replace the crystal with a known working one?? I can do this myself as I'm very proficient with a soldering iron and have more than 20 years of experience.

Please can you advise on what to do next?

Many Thanks, Dan
