I have Olinuxino which looks exactly as this one https://www.olimex.com/Products/OLinuXino/A13/A13-OLinuXino/open-source-hardware. I mean 3 USB and no WI-FI.

However, on my serial console I have (also pay attention to last "M" Board: A13-OlinuXinoM ):

U-Boot 2013.01-rc1-04929-g1b9f6ab-dirty (Nov 22 2012 - 17:22:15) Allwinner Technology

CPU:   SUNXI Family
Board: A13-OlinuXinoM
I2C:   ready
DRAM:  256 MiB
MMC:   SUNXI SD/MMC: 0
In:    serial
Out:   serial
Err:   serial

Why I have 256mb of DRAM?

What are you booting?  Are you sure it's not built to look only for (or to assume only) 256MB?

Also, is it reserving any RAM?

John

olimex

because you try to boot A13-OLinuXino-MICRO Debian image on A13-OLinuXino
