Title: Electrical noise
Post by: splite on February 27, 2015, 03:48:32 PM
Hello,

I'm experiencing electrical noise with the A20 and an A13-LCD-10 screen. I'm using an AC adapter : 220V AC -> 12V DC 2A.
The noise is going through electric wires.
My project aim to use software for ham radio and it's a bit annoying.

Does any body experienced such problem yet ?

Thanks
Florian

I tried the ferrite that goes all around the wire. Nothing improved

There was a thread a while ago, about RF noise generated by the on-board PSU.

You could try this solution https://www.olimex.com/forum/index.php?topic=2205.msg16469#msg16469 (https://www.olimex.com/forum/index.php?topic=2205.msg16469#msg16469) by adding a 0.1uF cap in parallel with C202.  I would leave the ferrite ring on there too.

Maybe you could let us know if it helps you?

Cheers,
Chris.

Thank a lot, it worked perfectly great !! No need of the ferrite, the cap is doing great.

Good to know this little trick.

Cheers,
Florian

I've been a bit optimistic ! I got no improvement with the 0.1uf cap!
