But I tried the communication, but it is not happening. I connected the MOD-GSM unit with my A13 Board and tried to access the same in my Linux, but no communication was happening. Moreover, I tried the data on the Tx and Rx of UEXT with an oscilloscope too, still nothing was shown. Why is it so?

Hey bimodh,

The problem is probably in the A13 Linux image not in the MOD-GSM. Try to stop the debug terminal since it uses the UEXT UART. You can debug via SSH.

Thanks for the reply.

I tried the Tx and Rx Pins of UEXT of MOD-GSM Module with the Oscilloscope, there was also no data communication happening. Does that mean the MOD-GSM module is not having a firmware itself?

Moreover, I tried connecting the MOD-GSM with the MOD-USB-RS232 converter in my windows system over hyper-terminal too. Still, nothing was happening.

Now, what is the call?

Hello bimodh,

The problem is probably in the MOD-USB-RS232. There is a high chance that the MOD-USB-RS232 you received was shipped without the final firmware it needs. The situation is further explained here: https://www.olimex.com/forum/index.php?topic=810.msg3644#msg3644 (https://www.olimex.com/forum/index.php?topic=810.msg3644#msg3644)

Sorry for the incontinence caused.

Best regards,
