I'm trying to get a DHCP address on my eth0 using A20 Android. It's odd that it always gets an IP like 169.254.195.175.
It's enough to have the cable plugged in anywhere and that's the result, no matter if it's on a router or even to my own machine.

Anyone had similar behavior?

The IP address 169.254.x.x is so called link-local address (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Link-local_address) and it's set when you don't get the real one. So if you have the DHCP running, you are not getting an address from it or there is some other problem. Do get another attached devices valid addresses?

By other you mean other Ethernets? nope.

It's odd that i cannot even set a static ip. I set but it does not find my router (i set the routes too.)

Strange. Did you try booting some Linux from SD card? If you are unable to get an IP address from Linux too, there is probably problem with hardware, otherwise it's an Android problem.
