Very small PCB = Good price = Few components.
Minimalism.
Simplycity.
Miniaturism.
What you think about this idea?
World's Smallest Linux Game Console!!!
In what way is it not essentially any of the many devices already sold (other than by Olimex)?
John
For one thing, olimex is 100% open source, meaning that their device belongs to the entire world, as opposed to being "encumbered" by, if you'll excuse my saying it bluntly.... bullshit. So, to the person who made this post, great job requesting that another useful tech form factor be freed :).
It's an order of magnitude greater than anything that exists, simply because of openness.
Only some of their items are open source.
John
@johns do your homework - all OLinuXino boards are open source :)
But not all OSHW? Is that it?
John
tell me which one OLINUXINO board is not OSHW?
It's what Lub/Olimex said in this thread https://www.olimex.com/forum/index.php?topic=1811.0
You guys need to get your act together!
John
@JohnS: It's simple, you two are just talking about different things. Not all Olimex products are OSHW, but all OLinuXino-branded ones are. To be fair, you were right initially, because faddat's statement, to which you responded, was about Olimex products, although this thread is about a new OLinuXino product.
Oh - I see! Thanks.
I was soooo puzzled. (I didn't even realise that's a definition of Olinuxino but thanks.)
