Title: EKG shield with MATLAB
Post by: csasfr on May 07, 2014, 08:57:59 AM
Hi,

I have my final year project to processing the EKG data through matlab.
I have all the components for doing this: Arduino uno r3, Olimex EKG shield and the electrodes.
It's possible to record an ekg signal through Matlab with Arduino and save it in the .dat format  ?

Thanks

Hey csasfr,

It should be possible. I haven't tried it, nor tested it myself but there should a way to transfer the data from the Arduino to the PC (via USB or serial port or virtual USB probably).

The other thing that might work would be if any of the supported software has a matlab plugin or export function. I've heard that BrainBay used to have matlab plugin so that is also worth checking.

Best regards,
Lub/OLIMEX
