Title: Can I boot from both the MicroSD and SD/MMC cards?
Post by: David Goadby on June 08, 2013, 03:59:37 PM
I have been booting my A10s using a MicroSD card. Unlike the A13, which I am used to, the A10s also has a standard SD/MMC card slot. In the absence of any documentation I cannot see how to use it as an alternative boot disk.

I'm away for a few days so cannot actually try it so my question is: can I boot from the SD/MMC card instead of the MicroSD? Presumably there is a boot sequence somewhere which looks at the MicroSD first before booting the EEPROM. Have they been smart enough to include the SD as well?

Hey David,

We haven't tested the boot from the regular SD/MMC. It should be possible. The hardware allows it. Someone has to dig the software to check 100%, however. We haven't had the time yet.
