Title: MOD-WIFI uploading new code
Post by: lrebelo on March 27, 2013, 05:37:23 PM
Hello!
I'm extremely new to all of this so please forgive what i know is probably a dumb question!
To reprogram the mod-wifi i have to connect it directly to the computer using an UEXT to RS232 adapter(like the MOD-RS232)?
if this is not the case can someone please point me in the right direction?!

Regards

Hello Irebelo,

You are looking in the right direction BUT we have no experience with the firmware upgrades of MOD-WIFI. The way to update the firmware is use a device like MOD-RS232 or MOD-USB-RS232 and the update is done via the SPI lines located on the UEXT.

I suggest you to ask in the Microchip forums how the firmware updates of MRF24WB0MA (the chip in MOD-WIFI) are handled.

Best regards,
Lub/OLIMEX
