Title: Power consumption of OLIMEXINO-32U4
Post by: Mono on August 24, 2013, 05:36:42 AM
Hi,

I'm looking for a low-power Arduino-compatible board for a project. Does anyone know the typical current drawn by an OLIMEXINO-32U4 and/or OLIMEXINO-328 when active (but not sourcing any current) and when asleep?

Cheers :)

Hey Mono,

Currently it is very hard to say what is a "typical" power consumption of a board. Especially on a board that might be powered in different ways and in different voltage ranges. Basically, you can turn off almost everything using the different power states of the microcontroller.

We do voltage measurements during testing of both boards and they measures really close. When using a battery they draw 15mA-20mA of current. When you have entered sleep mode - 50uA-100uA.

Best regards,
