Title: [SOLVED] A20- OLinuXino-LIME-4GB charger led blinking
Post by: kaloyan on August 28, 2014, 07:00:30 PM
I have a brand new A20- OLinuXino-LIME-4GB, which I am trying to boot.
I use a 5V/1000mA power supply from a Nokia phone.

After powering the board, power led goes on(red) and charger led(orange)
starts to blink.

The green Ethernet led is on too.
When I connect the board to my laptop,
I can see(second ethernet led) it receives laptop DHCP requests.

There is no output on the HDMI.

I tried with and without the microSD card, same thing.

What does it mean, when the charger led is blinking
and I am using power, not battery ?

If it is blinking very fast (~ 4 times per second) the voltage applied to the board is too high. If is blinking slower (~ 1 time per second) and you have a battery attached, there is a problem charging the battery.

Its blinking slow 1time/s, but I don't have a battery.

I think HDMI only starts after it boots (at earliest) so probably some issue with SD card.

Best debug using a serial cable to the console uart.

BTW, that power is maybe at best just about enough but may not even be enough.

It was the power supply.
I have bought a 5V/2.5A tablet power supply and now charger led is not blinking.
