Title: EKG/EMG Signal Amplifier
Post by: EricFSU22 on May 29, 2013, 04:03:10 PM
Hello!

I am interested in building my own myoelectric device, and wondering what would be a good choice for a signal amplifier. Using the EKG/EMG shield as a reference I see there is an instrumental amplifier and several stages including HF rejection, High pass filtering, op-amplifier, and a 3rd order Besselworth filter. Are all these stages a bare minimum for clean signal capture, is there at least a bare minimum that will return an clean signal? Or is there any known chip that will accomplish this as well?

I wish to also amplify 8-10 different channels, any suggestions are much appreciated. Thanks!

EKG-EMG shielf is doing exactly same and up to 6 shields can be placed on top of Arduino
