Q: Are your development boards assembled and tested or you
send them as kit?
A: Everywhere on our web pages is written that all development boards are assembled
and tested, but we still keep getting this question, so we put it on the top
on FAQ. Our boards are complete assembled and tested and contain all components
which are seen on the pictures. Unlike our competitors who put on their web
page assembled boards but selling kits we are selling complete assembled and
tested development boards.
Q: Do you sell your PIC-Pxx, PIC-IO, AVR-Pxx, AVR-MT development
boards with microcontrollers?
A: No. You can purchase the microcontrollers separately. Only AVR-MT-128 have
ATMega128-16AI on it and PIC-PG4D board is with PIC16F84A-20/P or PIC16F628-20/P
on it, all others are with just sockets.
Q: Does you header boards and starterkits contain microcontrollers?
A: Yes. AVR-Hxxx, MSP430-Hxxx, MSP430-xxxSTK, PIC-PG4D are with microcontrollers
on them - what you see on the picture is what you get!
Q: Does your PIC-PG3B include ICSP cable?
A: Yes.
Q: Does your PIC-ICD1-B come with cable for the H28/H40
target microcontroller boards?
A: Yes.
Q: How can I pay?
A: We accept Visa, EC/MC, Western Union and bank T/T to our account.
Q: Do you ship C.O.D.?
A: No
Q: Does your price include the shipping to me?
A: Our price is EXW (ex-works) and doesn't include the shipping charge. Check
for the different shipping option in "Shipping" section of our web
site.
Q: What import tax I will pay when receive your boards?
A: PCB and electronic modules from Bulgarian origin have 0% import tax when
enter in Europe, CEFTA, USA and Turkey. Please check with your local customs
for the import tax if your country doesn't belong to the quoted above.
Q: Is PIC-ICD1-B compatible with MPLAB?
A: Yes. It's 100% compatible. Microchip stop supporing ICD1 since MPLAB 5.70.40
so this is the MPLAB version you should use to work with PIC-ICD-B. For the
newer MPLAB 6.xx you should use PIC-ICD2 but it's more expensive, so if you
work with just PIC16F87X microcontrollers PIC-ICD1-B is great choice for value/money.
Q: Is PIC-ICD2 compatible with MPLAB?
A: Yes. It's 100% compatible. You can make your upgrades with the new firmware
through MPLAB. PIC-ICD2 have USB and RS232 just like MPLAB-ICD2.
Q: What is the difference between PIC-ICD2 and PIC-ICD2-TINY?
A: The only difference is that PIC-ICD2-TINY operated only from the RS232 port
and needs external power supply +16-18VDC.
Q: Is MSP430-JTAG compatible with IAR KickStart software?
A: Yes. It's 100% compatible.
Q: Is AVR-JTAG-L compatible with AVR STUDIO?
A: Yes. It's 100% compatible. It's completely analog of Atmel's AVRJTAGICE and
works with target devices from 3V to 5V, the only difference is that it take
power from target board and doesn't need separate power supply.
Q: Is ARM-JTAG compatible with Wiggler?
A: Yes. It's 100% compatible. Our test so far are only on Philips LPC parts
though, so it may work or not with other ARM uC.
Q: I sent e-mail to devrfq@olimex.com with request for quote
but don't get reply. What's wrong?
A: Our e-mail filter deletes all e-mail sent from Hotmail, Yahoo etc. It's possible
that we may find your e-mail through the tons of the deleted SPAM junk e-mails,
but don't count on this. Use your real ISP e-mail if you want to receive reply
from us ontime.
